Putter head

A blade putter head I designed in Fusion: 106 mm long, with 2.5° of loft and a 70.74° lie angle.

A steel blade putter head seen from above and behind: a long thin body, a cavity behind the face, a plumber's neck rising from the heel, and the letters FT engraved on the back.
The model, rendered from the same file the home page draws.

Why I made it

Awaiting my note

The model

A steel blade putter head seen from above and behind, with a cavity behind the face, a plumber's neck at the heel and the letters FT engraved on the back.
The model, rendered from the same file the home page draws.

Designed in Fusion in April 2026. A blade head with a plumber's neck (the bent section that joins the shaft to the head), a cavity behind the face, and my initials engraved 0.10 mm deep into the back. The numbers below are measured from the model itself, not targets I was working to.

DimensionModelWhat it is
Heel to toe106.00 mmLength of the head
Face to back35.98 mmDepth of the head
Head height22.91 mmHeight of the head
Overall height69.78 mmIncluding the neck
Offset10.57 mmHow far the face sits behind the shaft
Loft2.5°How far the face tilts back from vertical
Lie70.74°Angle between the shaft and the ground

The same file drives the animation at the top of the home page: the drawing there comes from this model, and its dimensions are the ones in this table.

What's next

A rig to measure the head's moment of inertia (how strongly it resists twisting on an off-centre hit), planned for 2027. It hangs the head from three strings and times how it swings, so I can check the figure Fusion gives for the model.
